Frequently Asked Questions

Expand All:
1. Is it possible to substitute quick oats for rolled oats?

Yes, although the cookies will have a different texture. Rolled oats provide chewier texture; quick oats produce soft cookies.

2. Could you please provide some alternative options for butter?

Instead of butter, you could substitute coconut oil or margarine, but keep in mind that these alternatives may slightly alter the flavor and texture.

3. How may I modify these cookies to make them a healthier choice?

Substitute whole wheat flour for all-purpose flour and cut down on the sugar content. You may also consider adding nuts and seeds for extra nutrition.

4. Can I freeze the cookie dough?

Yes! Roll the dough into balls, and place them on a baking sheet to freeze. Once they are frozen solid, transfer them to a freezer-safe bag. Bake directly from the freezer, allowing 1-2 extra minutes for baking altogether.

5. What do I do when the dough is too dry?

Add one tablespoon of milk at a time until the dough comes together. Overly moist dough could lead to the cookies spreading too much while baking.
